Testimonials

I have been a client of Warren Woo for several years and I cannot say enough good things about him.  He is knowledgeable, patient and engaging.  He has been able to adapt my workouts over the years as my various medical ailments and infirmities required (I am in my late 60’s)  and I have been able to rehab and resume my activities with his help after several orthopedic surgeries.  I can honestly say I do not think I would be capable of all that I can do without his encouragement and inspiration.

Warren is an extremely gifted teacher. He provides guidance on technique with a detailed eye, but also helps me connect learnings to my own patterns and pinpoint what areas of development would serve me well. I value the deep knowledge he brings from dance and other movement disciplines; an adjustment is always available to make learning accessible and keep my body healthy. Warren is committed to building a very supportive class environment and I leave class weekly with a sense of possibility!

Warren’s choreography background is very evident in the Saturday class [through Friends of the Gym] that I take with him in this way: the various actions move seamlessly from the beginning of class to the end, the “rest” breaks are very natural – I’ll be doing an activity and feel a need to move to Child’s Pose or Happy Baby and that is exactly what Warren says is next. With guidance, I move smoothly from strength to core to balance and soon the hour has ended – with Warren’s direction (and he does watch and coach even on Zoom), my body lets me know I’ve been working hard, but in the moment, it didn’t seem like too much work at all. Warren is knowledgeable in many areas of movement – yoga, ballet, pilates and modern dance (to name a few). Throughout the classes he draws from his wealth of information to share with the group. I’m new to exercising, I’m 72 years old, and I highly recommend spending time with Warren. Wherever you are on your exercise journey, you’ll be the richer for taking class with Warren Woo.
